I planned to finish this list of resolutions a few days ago, however, I was too busy with the holidays, going shopping, running some errands, cooking etc. and I also got some friends coming over for the holiday... This Xmas, the weather is so much warmer than last year... and of course there wasn't any snow at all. I'm so disappointed as I had been looking forward to seeing snow for the first time in my life T__T... Anw, here's the 2012 resolutions.
2012 RESOLUTIONS:
1. Been to (included but not limited to): Korea, Spain (Barcelona), Holland (Amsterdam - bucket list), France (Paris), Italy (Rome, Venice, Milan), UK (Edinburgh, Dublin, Cambridge,Bath, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, York, Leicester etc...), Germany (Berlin), Sweden, Greece...
2. Done:
- Learn something new & exciting: Korean (bucket list) &one musical instrument (I haven't decided which one should I pick up as I have no experience in music at all and I don't have much free time to spare).
- Yoga every 3 day (1 hour per session)
- Green living as a habit
- Fluent in Chinese (bucket list)
- VOLUNTEER (last year resolution)
- 5' meditation every day (Buddhism practising)
3. Read:
- The Help by Kathryn Stockette
- One Day by David Nicholls
- 1984 by George Orwell
- 19Q4 by Haruki Murakami (Book 1-3)
- Water for Elephant by Sara Gruen
- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
- When Genius Failed: The Rise and Fall of Long Term Capital Management by Roger Lowenstein
- Liar's Poker by Michael Lewis
- Market Wizards: Interviews with Top Traders by Jack Schwager
- A Random Walk Down Wall Street by Burton Gordon Malkiel
- Globalization and its Discontents by Joseph Stiglitz
- A History of the Jews by John Paulson
(This year I've got a lot of things to do, CFA, dissertation, exchange term, travelling... that's why I only choose out 12 books, it means one for every month... I dont want to put too much pressure on myself with the reading lists like I did the years before)
4. Self-improvement:
- Got a fashion style
- Learn eye make-up T__T
- Time management
- Brain workout (I've registered for a premium Lumosity account, they provide workout exercises for human brains and there is scientific proofs showing that your brain would perform better if you practise those exercises on a weekly basis).
